Krewe de Roux Sponsorship
The Rankin County Chamber Leadership Class of 2022-2023 is excited to announce “Krewe de Roux” Mardi Gras Parade and Block Party and Gumbo Festival. To kick off the weekend’s festivities, the Mardi Gras Parade and Block Party will be held on Friday, February 17th in Downtown Brandon, followed by the Gumbo Festival on Saturday, February 18th at the beautiful Brandon Amphitheater. This event is being held to support the Chamber Youth Leadership program, which has been and continues to develop young leaders from all schools in Rankin County for over 23 years.
Friday evening, February 17th, the celebration will kick off with a Mardi Gras themed parade that will take place in Downtown Brandon. This will begin at 6:30 PM promptly at the corner of Dining St. and College St. Following the Parade local restaurants such as; Genne Benna, Mud Bugs, Burgers & Blues, The Cleaners and Gallows will be open late with great food and beverages. The highlight of the night will be the Molly Ringwald Band on the Big Stage on Dining St. The concert is free to the public. Admission to the Block Party Tent is $10, which includes food, drinks and more.
Saturday morning, February 18th, at 11:00 a.m. the gates will open to the Gumbo Festival held at the Brandon Amphitheater. Approximately 50 teams will be providing sample size gumbo in search for prizes including, Best Gumbo and Fan Favorite. Among the good food, there will be some amazing music and plenty of entertainment and activities for all ages.
